Michel Sardou who is his wife Anne Marie Perier who tricked

MICHAEL SARDOU. The singer, who had said goodbye to the scene in 2018, returns for a new tour in France next year. Michel Sardou explained that his wife Anne-Marie Périer had threatened to leave him if he did not find the spotlight.

[Mis à jour le 13 novembre 2022 à 20h00] This is an unexpected announcement for fans of Michel Sardou, who thought they would never be able to find their favorite singer in concert. After saying goodbye to the stage in 2018, the artist is indeed returning for a new tour entitled I remember a goodbye. A reference to his song of the same name released in 1995. 30 dates have been announced for the moment for this tour. It will start on October 3, 2023 at the Zénith de Rouen, and will end in a grand way with a concert at La Défense Arena in Paris on March 16, 2024, which can accommodate up to 40,000 spectators for musical events.

In the meantime, Michel Sardou will perform in many major French cities such as Lille (October 17 and 18, 2023), Toulouse (November 25, 2023) or Lyon (December 19 and 20, 2023). Tickets will go on sale this Monday, November 14 at 10 a.m. The surprise is therefore significant for fans of the singer, whose last tour in 2018 was aptly named The Last Dance. At the end of this tour, the artist had at the time affirmed to RTL : “I think I’ve done my job enough, I’m not going to sing ‘I’m going to love you’ until I’m 83.”

The one who will celebrate his 76th birthday next January explained in the columns of the Parisian that it was his wife Anne-Marie Périer who pushed him to find the stage, when he would have preferred to stay away from it in order to devote himself to the theater. “Me, I have nothing to do with my return. For nothing! I didn’t want to come back… But I was taken in by my wife (…) she ended up persuading me. Anyway, she was threatening to leave me and go back to her brother… She blackmailed me!” Michel Sardou explained to the Parisian. The artist married Anne-Marie Périer in 1999 in Neuilly-sur-Seine. They had been married by Nicolas Sarkozy, who was then mayor of the city. Now 77, this print journalist was the editor-in-chief of women’s magazines Miss Tender Age and She. She was also director of the publication of the men’s magazine Him.
