Michel Jean is an Innu journalist and author, belonging to the community of Mashteuiatsh, on the banks of Lake Saint-Jean, in Quebec. Kukum, his previous novel crowned with numerous and prestigious literary prizes including the 2023 Readers’ Points Prize, sold more than 200,000 copies and was translated into several languages.
