British origin MG, which started its adventure in Turkey in 2021, has achieved a significant leap in sales in 2022.
With the inclusion of SAIC, one of the most important groups in China, MG entered the Turkish market in 2021 under Doğan Trend Otomotiv, following the European market. The British-based manufacturer, which showed a promising performance in its first year, continued to draw attention with its achievements in 2022. Expanding its product range in the process, the brand managed to increase its sales 3.5 times in 2022 compared to 2021.

Steps in electric focus will accelerate for MG
Tibet Soysal, Deputy General Manager of Doğan Trend Automotive, made statements about the process; “We have completed 2022 by reaching our ‘Leadership Among British Car Brands’ target. In 2022, when we focused on growth by expanding our model range, we increased our sales 3.5 times compared to 2021. We became the pioneer of a new technology in a short time, completing the year as the second in the ‘Rechargeable-Hybrid’ market, in which we were the leader in November 2022. In 2023, we are raising our targets even more. We aim to double our product range with the contribution of our new 100% electric MG models, which we will launch in the first half of the year. We plan to have half of the MG cars that we will meet with their owners in 2023 to be electric.” he said.

Offering models with different dynamics such as electric, gasoline and rechargeable hybrid with a focus on meeting all needs, MG offered the gasoline alternative of ZS EV and E-HS models to its customers. One of the highlights for the MG brand in 2022 was the increase in the number of Service and Experience Points. The brand, which will continue this growth in 2023 in order to respond to the rapidly increasing demand, aims to reach 23 Experience Points in 16 provinces.
