Mette Frederiksen: “Working on good cooperation”
Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen held a press conference after the crisis meeting, where she said that they had been in contact with the incoming Trump administration and that they had proposed talks with Donald Trump.
– We are working on having a good collaboration with the future president, said Mette Frederiksen.
One who was critical of the Danish government’s handling of the issue was Morten Messerschmidt, party leader of the Danish People’s Party.
– Greenland will never be independent, he said after the meeting.
