Kiloo, the producer of the Subway Surfers game, has released its new game MetroLands exclusively for Huawei’s AppGallery application platform.
Released February 3rd exclusively to AppGallery, MetroLand invites players to be young and energetic explorers, dashing, escaping and even doing parkour to get past the evil MegaCorp guards. Denmark-based Kiloo has invested heavily in developing this new endless runner game that can be played for five minutes or several hours at a user-friendly pace.
MetroLand, the sequel to Subway Surfers, first released on AppGallery
MetroLand, as the title suggests, has a metropolitan environment. The game takes place in a series of cities, and as you progress, seven different areas are unlocked. It aims to exemplify busy, modern city life with an emphasis on mobility, speed and excitement.
Similar to some of the most downloaded endless runner games on the market, including its own game, Kiloo has taken MetroLand to the next level, incorporating new design trends, polishing the game and adding meta elements to appeal to a wider variety of user profiles.
“We’ve gathered all the experience we’ve had working on endless running games over the years and combined them perfectly into our casual running game. MetroLand is familiar and engaging, but still has surprising twists. MetroLand is MegaCorp’s nemesis,” said Jacob Møller, CEO of Kiloo. “It’s innovative for anyone who’s brave enough to join our charismatic group of young people in their playful revolt against the United States.”
“Games can be longer or shorter, easier or harder, cartoonish or realistic,” said Jaime Gonzalo, Huawei’s vice president of mobile services. But ultimately what sets good games apart is their level of fun. This is exactly the key criterion by which AppGallery editors select the best games on the market for our users. With this logic in mind, we are extremely pleased to present to all AppGallery users on all Android smartphones the outstanding team of Kiloo, which holds the crown of the next generation endless running games genre.”
AppGallery, the official Huawei application distribution platform for apps and games, comes preinstalled on all Huawei smartphones. But the app store can be downloaded directly from the official website for all other brands of Android smartphones. By downloading the AppGallery, players can join the gaming community of millions of active players and benefit from its exclusive catalog and offers.
Over the past year, AppGallery has established itself as the world’s third-largest app store, with 580 million global monthly active users (an annual increase of 10 percent). More than 187,000 apps are now integrated with HMS Core, showing a 56 percent year-over-year increase in app deployments outside of China.
