Facebook’s parent company, Meta, for Messenger “HiddenIt has a feature called “talk”. It provides end-to-end encryption that does not save chats to cloud servers. These messages no longer have to be dull with blue/gray bubbles on a white background. Meta has brought customizations for chats.
Different users in secret chat can set nicknames, chat themes, custom emojis and reactions and group photos. It comes with almost all the features that make normal chats different and unique for every friend and group of friends.
Other changes include link preview, active state and even Bubbles on Android. Messenger and Meta cannot read and store your messages, but they can still show up in your phone’s UI provided the app is running.
It is important to note that secret conversations are device-limited, meaning they can only appear on the smartphone or computer that established the encrypted connection. However, they can be transferred via unique keys.
Public end-to-end encryption is also being tested for default conversations, Meta revealed in the same press release. The company said they were all working on the new feature.spent time building a team of talented engineers, cryptologists, designers and policy experts“.
Over the next few months, more people will gradually see some of their chats upgraded with an extra layer of protection, and Messenger will notify every chat and thread.
