The police were alerted during the night to a home in southern Stockholm where a 35-year-old man is said to have abused his mother.
When the police arrive at the scene, both are still in the apartment. The man was arrested for assault, unlawful threats and molestation.
A 75-year-old man has died after he was hit by a truck in Falun on Monday, the police write on their website.
The collision is said to have taken place at a very low speed. The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and died later in the evening.
The truck with attached trailer has been impounded for technical examination.
At the moment, no one is suspected of a crime in connection with the incident.
Women seek abortion medicine to a greater degree after Donald Trump’s election victory, write Washington Post.
Aid Access, one of the biggest suppliers of abortion pills, reported receiving 10,000 requests for the drug within 24 hours of the election – about 17 times more than normal.
According to the non-profit organization Just the Pill, 22 of their 125 orders between Wednesday and Friday came from people who were not pregnant, something they describe as “rare”.
“People understand that the threat to abortion rights is very real under a Trump administration,” said Brittany Fonteno, president of the National Abortion Federation, according to the paper.
Trump has called himself “the most pro-life president in history”, but at the same time promised to veto a federal abortion ban.

The recovery in the Swedish economy has been delayed as households have hesitated. Economic growth will therefore remain at 0.5 percent this year and then pick up speed in the coming years. GDP is estimated to grow by 2.2 percent in 2025 and 3.1 percent the following year, according to SEB’s new economic forecast.
The Riksbank’s will lower the policy rate to 2.0 percent next year, write the bank’s economists.
A woman has been found dead in an apartment in Malmö, as Sydsvenskan reported earlier. Now the police confirm the incident on their website.
A man who was in the apartment is said to have been arrested.

New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon has formally apologized to 200,000 people who were abused in state and church care since the 1950s, writes The Guardian.
Earlier this year, a 14 kilo report was published which revealed that the sexual, physical and psychological abuse was going on systematically.
In a speech, Luxon apologized to those affected for not being believed, for the staff turning their eyes away and for the state’s lack of oversight in care.
Shots have been fired at an apartment in Norsborg, south of Stockholm. The alarm came in around 01:30 on Tuesday night.
– It involves several shots. There were people in the apartment at the time but no one was injured, says Daniel Wikdahl, press spokesperson at the police.
The apartment has been cordoned off and the police are working with door knocking and other investigative measures.
– We have had technicians there during the night. No one has been arrested in the case, says Daniel Wikdahl.
A preliminary investigation regarding attempted murder and gross violation of the Weapons Act has been initiated.
A person has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a dead person was found in an apartment in central Malmö, reports South Sweden.
The incident occurred around nine o’clock on Monday evening.
The apartment has been cordoned off for a technical examination, which will be carried out on Tuesday, the newspaper writes.

The media company MTG buys the mobile game developer Plarium for 620 million dollars, corresponding to approximately 6.8 billion kroner. The company is behind the mobile game “Raid: Shadow legends”.
CEO Maria Redin claims, in a press release, that the deal makes MTG a “leading European gambling group”. The company’s position in the field of mobile games is strengthened.
Plarium has three more live games and a number under development in progress, MTG states.

A suspected attempted murder occurred in an apartment in Ljungby at 9pm on Monday evening. A woman in her 30s has been arrested. The victim is a man with whom, according to the police, she has some kind of relationship.
– An addition has been used. The injuries are minor, but we are investigating this as an attempted murder, says Viktor Grönqvist, duty investigation officer at the police.
The apartment has been cordoned off and is now being examined by technicians. The arrested woman will be interrogated during the night.

North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un has ratified a defense pact with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency.
The treaty applies from today and binds both countries to assist with military aid if one of them is attacked.
The Russian news agency Tass states that the document is “exclusively peaceful and defensive in nature” and that it is not directed at third countries or “is a threat to peace and stability”.
There has been a fire in an apartment building in Härnösand.
Police and emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 8 p.m.
One person has suffered burns, the police say.
The incident is being investigated as public negligence.
