A Merlin woman has won the $46,685 jackpot in the CK Charity 50/50 Raffle.
“I am not sure what I will do with the money,” winner Tammy Howell said in a press release. “This is a great surprise! Maybe I will put it towards a new car.”
The CK Charity 50/50 Raffle launched at the beginning of the new year and more than 2,800 people purchased tickets.
The raffle was a joint effort between the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation and the Children’s Treatment Center Foundation of Chatham-Kent.
The net proceeds from the raffle will be divided equally between the two organizations and be used to support people in our community, from infants to seniors, who are served by these organizations.
