Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680, which brings together the peak of luxury with electricity for the first time, will bring extra details in the focus of comfort and refining.
In today’s dynamics, where electric power is more intensely reflected on roads than ever before, “firsts” are inevitable. It’s time to add Maybach, after Rolls-Royce, to the ultra-luxury side of this cluster, where even super sports manufacturers are gradually integrated. In the competition where Rolls-Royce launched its first electric model with Specter, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 will bring an innovation for Maybach in this sense. The model, which we can describe as the serial production version of the concept launched in 2021, will have very special touches in terms of both ride quality and comfort compared to the standard EQS SUV.

Before moving on to the special hardware details of the model, let’s start by sharing the figures on the technical side. This giant SUV model, which comes in a single combination, has a battery pack with a capacity of 108.4 kWh, just as huge. This formula, which is completed with dual electric motors in parallel with the 4MATIC infrastructure, results in a combination of 484 kW (650 hp) power and 950 Nm torque. With this infrastructure, the model, which is announced to be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 in 4.4 seconds, will reach the maximum speed of 210 km / h. The provision of fast charging support up to 200 kW is among the things to be highlighted in the table. It was also shared by Mercedes that a range of 220 kilometers could be achieved with a 15-minute filling through such a source.
Of course, since our subject is a Maybach car, the work here is not limited to technical details. This special brand, which we are used to with models where craftsmanship, luxury and quality are at the upper limits, has also pushed its own limits in terms of taking the responsibility for EQS. Here is an experience where the quiet driving that comes with electric driving is supported by reflecting minimum road noise into the cabin. For this, we see that the combination of acoustic foam inserts in many parts of the body and artificial leather materials in the cockpit is used. In addition to cooling and heating, the heating functions in the rear seats focus on the neck and shoulders, as well as the added equipment to pamper the users. Again, thanks to the HEPA filter positioned in the ventilation system, keeping the air in the cabin clean and of high quality for the users is not overlooked here.
Adaptive air suspensions, which are offered as standard, are one of the most important infrastructure elements in increasing the perception of quality. The adjustable suspension system, which allows raising the vehicle by 35 millimeters depending on the wishes of the users, takes on a completely different character in the newly added Maybach driving mode. In this mode, which replaces the driving mode we know as Comfort in other models, it is based on reflecting the least body oscillation to the rear. Let’s not go without mentioning that the rear-wheel maneuverability comes as standard in the vehicle.
