The statement from the company specifically about 2023 performances was as follows: “Mercedes-Benz Türk, which has been operating as the leading company of the heavy commercial vehicle industry in Turkey for 56 years and has made significant contributions to the country’s production, employment and exports, achieved great success in Hoşdere Bus and Aksaray Truck Factories in 2023. The company, which has achieved the highest annual truck and bus production volume since its establishment, also reached the highest number of truck exports since 2001, when it started exporting trucks. Mercedes-Benz Türk Chief Executive Officer Süer Sülün stated that they continue to make significant contributions to the development of Turkey and said: “Our factory, which set out with the target of producing 8-10 thousand trucks annually in Aksaray, will reach the highest production in its history with 27,680 units in 2023.” signed. The development of our production numbers over the years makes us proud. We rolled off the 50 thousandth truck in our factory, which was opened in 1986, in 2004. Approximately the same amount of time has passed since then, we have produced more than 300 thousand trucks in the intervening 19 years, and 2023 was the year when we took our 350 thousandth truck off the line.

We not only produce trucks, but also export a significant part of the trucks we produce to Europe. In 2023, we reached the highest export volume in our history by removing 7 out of every 10 trucks exported from Turkey from the lines of our Aksaray Truck Factory in the center of Anatolia. Another source of pride is our Hoşdere Bus Factory, which exports 85 percent of the buses it produces to Europe. Our factory, which reached the highest production quantity in its history with 4,308 units in 2023, took 2 out of every 5 buses produced in Turkey off the line. Mercedes-Benz Türk, which removed 6 out of every 10 trucks produced in Turkey from its lines and exported 7 out of every 10 trucks produced to 15 different countries in Europe, continued its contribution to the country’s economy in 2023. The top three countries with the most truck exports were Germany, Spain and France. The total number of vehicles exported to date from the Aksaray Truck Factory, which has become one of the most important truck production bases of Daimler Truck AG, has exceeded 115 thousand. Reaching the highest production quantity in its history with 4,308 units at the Hoşdere Bus Factory, Mercedes-Benz Türk has produced more than 105 thousand buses in total in its 56-year company history. Hoşdere Bus Factory exported mostly to France, Spain and Italy in 2023.”
