Mental health in the northern districts: access to care has become impossible

In the north of Marseille, psychiatry is suffering. In lack of doctors, and recently caregivers. Édouard Toulouse, the only psychiatric hospital in the northern districts, is finding it increasingly difficult to fulfill its mission correctly. Poorly served and far from the city center, the north of Marseille has nothing to envy to the medical deserts of French rurality… And in the end, it is the patients who suffer from it in an area where some of the poorest neighborhoods are located of France.
