Men’s Superpesis left for midsummer under Vimpelin Veto’s command – “It’s good if we’re at the top, but the game has been quite variable”

Mens Superpesis left for midsummer under Vimpelin Vetos command

Sotkamon’s Jymy experienced four consecutive losses in men’s baseball for the first time since the 1980s. Vimpelin Veto took the away victory in the top game in front of 2112 spectators.

Vimpeli, who moved to the top of the league, claimed victory over Sotkamo with numbers 2–1 (3-4,6-1,2-1s). When Jymy also lost a point, Vimpeli, Sotkamo and Kouvola’s Ballonlöjät are at the top of the series with equal points.

Jymy of Sotkomo Iivari Vihanto started the men’s super shift and hit Kunnar into an empty field, in a two-out situation, but Vimpeli still turned the game around for himself.

The victory was decided by a joker with his home runs in the super innings Janne Mäkelä and buried the bow of judgment Teemu Kinnunen. The winning run was earned by advancing four runs Mikko Kanala.

– The kind of top fight you could expect. At first, maybe a little nervous game, both had small mistakes here and there. We saw a lot of good shots, said Kinnunen, who scored the winning decision of the match in the super innings.

According to Veto Locker, the margins for the top teams are really small. It was also visible today in that in both periods the solutions were seen at the end of the innings.

– I think the victory was deserved today. My game (as a shortstop) went quite well, and in the super innings we relied on our own, best shots. You have to dare to hit hard, even though there were good legs coming. I missed the sign.

– It’s good if we are at the top, but the game has been quite variable in the spring season, Kinnunen told .

– Inside, we got the game going for a while, but with the flipper, this was actually the first time this season we lost, described Jymy’s fan Mikko Kuosmanen.

The municipalities of Litmanen and Hämäläinen too much for Manse

Joensuu’s Maila nailed the seventh consecutive home victory when they defeated their visitors Manse PP 2–1 (2-3, 5-2, 3-0) in Mehtimäki.

Manse won the opener in three innings, though JoMa led off the inning with two runs. Leevi Lehto opened the guests’ running taps. The victory kick hit Perttu Ruuska when repatriating Juuso Myllyniemi.

JoMas kunnar was celebrated by hitting 1+2 runs in the second period Henri Litmanen and decided to tie the super innings to the same balance Kasperi Hämäläinen22, for whom 1+2 meant doubling his major league hit balance.

Kempele’s Kiri caused Hyvinkää Tahko’s first scoreless road game of the season by winning 2–0 (3-2, 4-3). The home team’s winning run in both periods was brought in Markus Keski-Petäjä. Kir’s other statisticians had scored 1+1 runs Sami Haapakoski and four runs scored Tuomas Jussila.
