In the ’90s, Will Smith was one of the biggest movie stars in the world. During the decade he made some of his most popular films such as Independence Day, Bad Boys and Men in Black. However, the filming was probably not always pleasant for those around him. Men in Black director Barry Sonnenfeld spoke about this in a podcast where he bad flatulence of the actor revealed.

Will Smith farts so badly that Men in Black filming had to be interrupted

According to Variety, the director spoke about Will Smith farting really badly as a guest on the Let’s Talk Off Camera With Kelly Ripa podcast. Sonnenfeld described Smith’s habit with a particular incident on set that led to a hours of interruption in filming led.

This is about the scene in which Smith and co-star Tommy Lee Jones are in a car that transforms and flips over onto its roof at extreme speed. While filming, Smith suddenly apologized to Jones and the crew, although no one was quite sure why. Then Sonnenfeld explained:

And what happened is: Will Smith is a fart. These are just some people. And you really don’t want to be in a very small, hermetically sealed room with a Will Smith fart. You don’t even want to sit next to him at the Disney ranch. We evacuated the set for about three hours. And that is incredible. No, he’s, you know, a nice guy. He just farts. Some do, some don’t.
