Yes, Engmans Kapell is competing in Melodifestivalen 2024 and they will enter the Mello stage during the second part of the competition which will take place on February 10 in Gothenburg. There they compete against, among others Liamoo, Maria Sur and Miss Snusk.
The song “Norrland” has, according to SVTwritten by among others Larry Forsberg and Sven-Inge Sjöbergwho are also behind Mello favorites such as “La Dolce Vita” with After Dark and “Crazy In Love” with Jill Johnson.

Haven’t you heard Engman Kapell’s contribution in Melodifestivalen 2024? This is how TT describes the song “Norrland”:
“No one can mistake where the competition’s oldest debutants, Engmans Kapell, hail from: it is Norrland, more specifically Hälsingland. Broadening their target group and trying to reach 59 percent of Sweden’s surface may prove to be a smart move. It smells of fir and pine Swedish country in the style of Hasse Kvinnaböske complete with violin and key rise at the end.”

And already during a press meeting ahead of Melodifestivalen 2024, journalists and other contestants on site got a small taste of what awaited. That’s when Engman’s Chapel started jamming – something that got Danny Saucedowho was in the middle of an interview with Expressen, to react.
– Danny, I almost have to start with this, you look almost a little annoyed?, says the reporter in wonder when Saucedo looks at Engman’s Chapel in the background.
– No, I don’t understand anything. So nothing bad about them, but what the hell?, answers Saucedo and then notes that there are “some who play pub music”.
When he then learns that the competitors are Engmans Kapell, he says the following with a laugh:
– They stand up? Okay. Fat. Fun for them. Nice.
