Shirley Clamp suffered for many years from the disease hypothyroidism without knowing it. The symptoms include fatigue, low mood and aches, something that Clamp interpreted as depression.
– I was tired, and even though I made an effort with diet and exercise, I didn’t get rid of the extra weight. What is happening? I thought, she said in an interview with Amelia, according to Swedish Lady.
Finally, she found a specialist who said it was hypothyroidism, which means that the thyroid gland produces too few hormones.
What is Shirley Clamp doing in 2024?
2024 has been an eventful year for Clamp. She has released new music, participated in the musical “Mamma Mia! The Party” and moved to Nacka with her daughter.
– But now it will be Nacka beach instead. My daughter will look out to Lidingö from her room. It is important to me that she also feels that she will enjoy where we live – so then I jumped at the chance!, she says in an interview with Happened.
Clamp also has a big role in this year’s Christmas calendar “Snödrömmar”. In an interview with Aftonbladet, she says that she was surprised to be asked to audition for the role.

– I didn’t even know what role I had been given, but I thought it doesn’t matter. I can play tree or rock, as well. It’s just fun to be involved, she says the newspaper.
