A moment before the Stockholm derby against Djurgården, AIK presented the solution that it is hoped will make the team climb the table.
“During the latter part of the fall, we evaluated and turned things around and looked at what we can do to help us move forward,” says sports manager Christoffer Malm to the club’s website.
“It feels good that we are getting Roger in with his experience and personality.”
Melin will analyze the matches from the stands and be a sounding board for the coaching staff.
“It’s great fun to be back in AIK. I’ve gotten to know Anton (Blomqvist, head coach) over the years, so when he called and asked if I wanted to help him and the team, it felt inspiring,” says Melin, who was last coach for AIK in 2019-2021.
