We are looking for freelance reinforcement who can support us from our home office.

With MeinMMO we reach several million people every month who share our enthusiasm for gaming. With us you will find articles and videos with stories, guides, opinions, recommendations or interviews.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for freelance writers to support us in reporting on Twitch and YouTube. You should enjoy sharing your knowledge in the area of ​​gaming culture. What you should bring with you:

  • a feel for exciting stories
  • not only a passion for games, but also the stories of the people who work with them
  • a willingness to delve deeply into topics and research them
  • you use social platforms like Twitter, Reddit and TikTok
  • you enjoy writing
  • A willingness to work on weekends is an advantage
  • This is a plus, but not a must: You already have experience in the media sector. This includes: your own blog, work for another website, your own channel on Twitch, TikTok or YouTube.

    Do you know the biggest stars on German Twitch and know which emerging talents you should keep an eye on? Are you eagerly awaiting the uploads from your favorite gaming YouTubers? When a topic gets big on Twitch, are you the first to know and get all the details? Do you speak “Papaplatte” fluently?

    In the Gaming Culture section, we report on everything that concerns gamers outside of their favorite games. This also includes content creators on YouTube and Twitch.

    As a Twitch author, you report on current topics in the streaming scene. You should pay particular attention to the German-speaking Twitch and YouTube, but also keep an eye on the international scene.

    The content can be about entertaining anecdotes from streams, but also viral trends, elaborate events or topics that are being discussed in the community.

    How do we work?

    The way it works: You independently research exciting stories in the Twitch and YouTube communities and on the official channels of the content creators. Together with the editorial team, you plan the topics you will report on. You work with analysis tools such as Google Trends to find the most pressing topics for our readers. You write articles that fit MeinMMO and our community.

    The times: You can work for MeinMMO for a few hours at least three days a week. Up to 20 hours per week are possible.

    The payment: The fee in the news room is calculated on an hourly basis, not per article or according to the number of characters.
