As the first part of the very explosive Netflix documentary series “Harry & Meghan” is released on Thursday December 8, the royal family is expecting the worst. It must be said that in the past, Meghan Markle has not always been very tender towards her.
The Netflix documentary series “Harry & Meghan” arrives this Thursday, December 8, 2022 on the video-on-demand platform. Only the first part must be delivered, the second will not arrive before December 15th. But already tabloids and experts of the British monarchy are unanimous: the content of “Harry & Meghan” promises to be explosive. So much so that the Mirror claims to hold from royal sources that a crisis unit has been activated. The assistants of Charles III, but also of Prince William would be on a war footing. “If you have to answer anything, you can be sure that the answer will be quick and firm”, even assured a source within the royal palace.
Buckingham Palace has indeed something to tremble with. The last interview of Harry and Meghan Markle granted to Oprah Winfrey had made the cabbage of the press. It must be said that the Sussexes had not gone there by four paths. The couple had long returned to their departure for the United States, not without denouncing the “trap” that the royal system constitutes according to them. The royal family had, of course, taken for his rank, Meghan Markle not mincing his words.
The Duchess of Sussex had notably confided that she felt bad within the royal family to the point of wanting to commit suicide when she was pregnant with her son Archie. “I couldn’t see a solution anymore. I didn’t want to be alive anymore. […]. I thought it would solve everything for everyone,” she told Oprah Winfrey. Meghan Markle also denounced racism within the palace itself, citing “the concerns” of some family members who wondered, before the birth of Archie, “how dark the skin of the newborn would be”.
“They were willing to lie to protect other family members”
If Harry and Meghan Markle had been very grateful to Queen Elizabeth II, the prince had testified to tensions with his father, the now King Charles III. As for Meghan Markle, she returned to her supposed rivalry with Kate Middleton. A story fabricated from scratch by the press which would have been one of the turning points which led to the departure of the Sussexes for the United States. “I think that’s where everything changed,” said Meghan Markle. Returning to a story reported by the tabloids according to which she would have made Kate Middleton cry during fitting before her marriage to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle had not hesitated to restore her truth: “No, I did not crying. The reverse happened.”
If Prince William’s wife would then apologize to Meghan Markle, she confided, still during her river interview, that she did not understand why no one had corrected the facts with the press. “It wasn’t until after the wedding, when things got worse, that I realized that not only was I unprotected, but they were willing to lie to protect other family members. But not to tell the truth to protect me and my husband.”
