Babylon has divided critics and audiences. The sometimes ecstatic, often disgusting, always excessive swan song to Hollywood at the beginning of the sound film era became a flop on the big screen. It’s been a long time since a film has been this courageous and unique. A good reason to secure it now for home cinema. Despite criticism and controversy: Babylon is a film without borders and that’s awesome

It is a rarity that such a delimited and opulent film even makes it into the cinema. Brad Pitt as decadent movie star, Margot Robbie as success-driven starlet, in between carnality, elephant shit and a horror performance by Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire. Babylon is a film to hold on to, a flood of images and madness. Those who approach it less as an exciting piece of history and more as an experience will also be able to enjoy it.

Anyone who sees himself able to should definitely secure the film for home cinema now. In the 4K version in particular, the visual exuberance of Damien Chazelle’s whimsical Hollywood vision will come into its own. When will Babylon be released for home cinema?

Unfortunately, all Babylon fans will have to wait a little longer for the home cinema version. The film will be released on April 6, 2023 on DVD, Blu-ray, 4K Blu-ray and Steelbook.
