As a Pokémon Trainer, your job is to help your Pokémon grow. We offer you a brand new way to do this: Mega Levels! Every time you Mega Evolve Pokémon, you increase your Mega Level. Each time a Pokémon’s Mega Level rises, you gain more bonuses, and these bonuses remain active for as long as your Pokémon is Mega Evolved.

You can earn different bonuses in each Mega Level. Bonuses vary by Pokémon, and all bonuses improve as the Pokémon’s Mega Level increases.

Available bonuses

  • You can earn more Candies by catching Pokémon of the same type as your Mega Evolved Pokémon.
  • When using Mega Evolved Pokémon in a Raid Match or Gym match, the attacks of other Trainers’ Pokémon in the same raid deal more damage. If the attack is the same type as your Mega Evolved Pokémon, their Pokémon’s attacks will deal even more damage.

  • When you catch Pokémon of the same type as your Mega Evolved Pokémon, your chance to win Big Candy increases.
  • You can gain more XP by catching Pokémon of the same type as your Mega Evolved Pokémon.
  • As Pokémon’s Mega Levels increase, their rest time decreases.

After this update, the first time you Mega Evolve a Pokémon, you will be able to Mega Evolve the same Pokémon without having to use Mega Energy.

After Mega Evolving your Pokémon will get tired and need to rest before Mega Evolving again. When this rest period expires, you can Mega Evolve the same Pokémon without using Mega Energy.

You can shorten the rest time of Pokémon by using Mega Energy. The amount of Mega Energy required to Mega Evolve Pokémon decreases as the Pokémon’s rest time gets shorter.
