After The Walking Dead has only just ended after 11 seasons, Fear the Walking Dead is about to end after 8 years. Although the spin-off always ran in the shadow of the main series, there’s now a good reason not to miss the final episodes of the Morgan Jones (Lennie James) spin-off.
With the announcement of the start date of Season 8, the first details about the plot have been revealed, which reveal a mega surprise: Fear the Walking Dead will make the biggest time jump in the TWD universe so far, which opens up exciting possibilities. The long awaited Crossover of both zombie series is now within reach.
Fear the Walking Dead Season 8 enables the crossover dream with time warp
Fear the Walking Dead ending won’t come as too much shocking news to some fans. The spin-off has been stronger over the years than the parent series plagued by creative changes and large fluctuations in quality. What once started as a detached spin-off about a family in the early stages of the zombie apocalypse evolved into a full-fledged spin-off in Season 4, taking over discarded The Walking Dead characters.
However, the events of Fear the Walking Dead never played a role in the parent series. Unfortunately, the fans were denied a crossover of both series (e.g. by Morgan returning to Alexandria) in the finale. The reason for this is simple: the action of Fear takes place many years before the events of the last 3 seasons of The Walking Dead. That is changing now. Because Season 8 makes you Time jump of 7 years and thus plays almost contemporaneous with the Commonwealth storyline from the final season.
