(Finance) – The Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Sandra Savinovisited the Regional Command of the Finance Guard from the Liguriawhere it was received from Gen. D Rosario Massino. In 2022 the Regional Command of the GdF achieved important results. Only with regard to the activities to combat tax avoidance and fraud, no. 1,996 interventions, for an ascertained net taxable base of 184.0 million Euros, an estimated tax evaded equal to 46.2 million Euros, the higher VAT ascertained amounted to million Euros.
In the field of subsidized social benefits, on the other hand, n. 456 interventions on Citizenship Income of which
no. 429 irregular, n. 371 subjects reported. Contributions received unduly amounted to 2.5 million euro, while contributions unduly requested and not yet received amounted to 1.3 million euro.
Subsequently, the Undersecretary Savino met, at the headquarters of the DT II – Liguria, Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta of the Customs and Monopolies Agency, the Interregional Director, Andrea M. Zucchini.
The ADM Interregional Directorate unites the three regions of the North West which, longitudinally, cover the vast area that from the Ligurian Sea leads to the Franco-Swiss border, passing through the western basin of the Plains Padana. This territory of about 36 thousand square kilometers and populated by almost 6 million inhabitants, is characterized by an enormous geographical and socio-economic complexity. The contribution that the Management provides to the Agency’s mission is substantial, just think that in 2022 the DT II ascertained tax revenues for VAT, duties And other customs duties for almost 6.5 billion euros at an interregional level (equal to 23% on a national basis, with an increase of 50% compared to 2021) and excise revenues of over 3 billion euros (11% of the national total).
Undersecretary Savino was able to express his “heartfelt personal and Ministry thanks for the intense activity that the Guardia di Finanza and Customs agency and monopolies take place in this area, also collaborating intensely with each other”.
