(Finance) – The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) has communicated that the tax and social security income in the period January-February 2022 show an overall growth of 14,516 million euros (+ 12.9%) compared to the same period of 2021. The figure takes into account the positive change in tax revenues of 17.5% (+11,924 million euros) and growth, in terms of cash, contribution revenues of 5.9% (+2,592 million euros).
Compared to the same period last year, there has been an increase in the revenue from recorded taxes to the state budget (+11,376 million euros, + 16.8%); the changes are also positive for collections from verification and control activities (+334 million euros, + 31.0%) and for the revenue relating to revenue of local authorities (+190 million euros, + 4.7%).
Even the contributory revenue recorded an increase mainly attributable to the growth in contributory revenues from the private sector as a result of the dragging of the economic recovery recorded in the course of 2021.
