(Finance) – The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) has communicated that the tax and social security income in the period January-May 2022 I am increased by 25,389 million euros (+ 9.5%) compared to the same period of 2021. The figure takes into account the positive change in tax revenues of 11.3% (+19,410 million euros) and the growth, in terms of cash, of tax revenues of 6.1% (+ 5,979 million euros).
Compared to the same period last year, there was an increase in the revenue from taxes accounted for in the state budget (+18,562 million euros, + 10.9%); the changes are also positive for collections from verification and control activities (+2,090 million euros, + 70.8%) while there was a slight decrease for revenue relating to the revenue of local authorities (-132 million euros, -1.1%).
“Contribution revenues also show an increase mainly attributable to the growth in contributory revenues of the private sector due to thepositive trend of the economic situation and of the labor market recorded in the first months of 2022 “, comments the ministry.
