(Finance) – The Ministry of Economy and Finance defined the methods of payment to public employees, managed through the NoiPA system, of the increases in payroll deriving from the increase in the tax wedge cut envisaged by the Labor Law for the period July – December 2023. The deduction, as for the previous reductions in the tax wedge, will be paid by NoiPa on the slip of the month following the month in which the benefit is recognised. Therefore, the payment referring to the month of July – the MEF informs in a note – will be disbursed with the August slip. The same mechanism will also be applied for the following months up to the month of December 2023 which will be paid in January 2024.
The of work, approved by the Council of Ministers last May and converted into law on 3 July 2023, provides for the period July-December 2023 theraising the tax wedge up to 6% for monthly gross salaries of less than 2,692 euros and up to 7% for those less than 1,923 monthly gross employees.
THE civil servants managed through the NoiPA system who will benefit from the cut in the tax wedge of 6% are around 860 thousand, while the audience interested in the measure of 7% is around 335 thousand employees.
For the central government and school employees, the release of the increases envisaged by the last contract, in an anti-inflation key, will also trigger. At the cut of the wedge, the‘one-off 1.5%, which is spread over several months, and the arrears accrued from January to July. A simple ministerial employee will receive an extra 185 euros in August and then, once the arrears have been cleared, 23 euros a month. The more consistentincrease for executives: the highest levels will fetch 534 euros in August and then, in each month, between 52 and 66 euros in pa. For the officials increases are between 29 and 44 euros. While for assistants the increases start from 24 euros and go up to 31 euros. On the other hand, slightly different amounts are those envisaged for employees of the school sector who will receive the one-off fee already this month.
