Meetttäläinen metalworker Peetu Juupaluoma, 21, drove the traditional Päijänne race to victory – arrived to compete directly from Spain: “On Monday, make a grapple on forest machines”

Meetttalainen metalworker Peetu Juupaluoma 21 drove the traditional Paijanne race

The traditional Päijänne ride on enduro bikes was run for the 86th time. The winner was Juupaluoma from the Motorsport team, Antti Hänninen from SsMK and Markus Michelsson from TMK.

Only a 21-year-old metal worker from Mänttä Peetu Juupaluoma took first place in the traditional 86th round of the traditional men’s tour of Päijänne, or more familiarly in Päits.

The second race of the heavy race was gassed by SsMK’s experienced war horse Antti Hänninen, who missed the winner from Juupalooma by a minute and 15 seconds. Third, I was able to 34-year-old TMK Markus Michelssonwho missed second place in the rapids for two minutes.

A total of 26 field trials and a total of 194 kilometers of field trials were run in the two-day traditional weaving. The winner ran the field trials for a total of less than six hours in a couple of minutes. Husqvarna was below the top two, with bronzeist Michelsson driving at KTM.

Juupaluoma arrived in the race directly from Spain and will travel to Spain again soon.

– It is much more comfortable to drive in Spain than in spring-northern Finland, Juupaluoma, who was finely tanned, mentioned.

To work on Monday

Juupaluoma said he had confidence in driving, especially on long journeys. He was always aware of the course of the race and said he had avoided unnecessary risks during closing Sunday.

Now you sleep well at night and rest on Monday, don’t you?

– No. I will leave immediately on Monday morning to make grapples in the forest machines, Juupaluoma said.

Hänninen, who was able to finish second, sighed about the number of mistakes.

– I think I also drove poorly when I raced. I shouldn’t be as stunned as I am now, Hänninen, who was in trouble with his plugs, was in pain.

I seemed to be happy with Michelsson in the end.

– I didn’t have any pressure in the race, and not a little stress, Michelsson, who already recognized himself as a cooler, said.

Michelsson is a multidisciplinary athlete who enjoys swimming, skiing and mountain biking.

– I miss I have to continue in enduro too, when it went so well, Michelsson smiled.

The lame legend explained suman

In the round-the-clock drive around Päijänne from Asikkala’s Vääksy on Saturday, the enduro riders left behind such settlements in Finland as Vesivehmaa, Kuhmoinen, Orimattila, Mäntsälä and Tuusula.

The finish area Vantaa’s speed center turned out to be an unnecessarily narrow area. A huge number of maintenance kits and other vehicles were left on the entrance and exit route of the said center longitudinally and transversely, so the sum stood still.

A five-time Päits winner (and a multiple track champion), already 83 years old, was needed to solve the sum Pertti Kärhäwhose attitude and professionalism helped the cars move in the right directions.

The Helsinki Motor Club, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, together with 25 other clubs and associations, was responsible for arranging the tour around Päijänne.
