(Finance) – Mediobanca has nominated Giuseppe Baldelli as Co-Head Global Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), Country Head Italy and Chairman of Global Coverage. The banker will report to Alberto Nagel, CEO of Mediobanca and will work alongside Francisco Bachiller, CIB Executive Chairman and Co-Head Global CIB. Baldelli has aover 25 years of experience in Investment Banking in Italy and abroad, during which he followed some of the main M&A, Equity and Debt transactions.
Grows professionally from 1996 to 2009 in Credit Suisse in the teams of both EMEA M&A and EMEA Media & Telecoms, until becoming Managing Director in 2008. In 2010 he joined Deutsche Bank at the head of the M&A for Italy and, since 2012, assumes responsibility for Investment Banking activities in the Italian market, holding the role of Head of Investment Banking Coverage & Advisory (IBCA) until 2017 and, since 2018, Head of Origination & Advisory (IBCA and Capital Markets). From 2017 to 2018 he held the role of Vice Chairman of EMEA M&A, with the responsibility of leading the strategic coverage and M&A activities in the area of Southern Europe. In 2021 he was appointed Chairman of IBCA for EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) with the responsibility of developing investment banking activities in the EMEA region, maintaining the leadership of Origination & Advisory for Italy.
