At midnight, IF Metall’s notice of conflict measures goes from threat to action. If Tesla does not sign a collective agreement before then, the union calls a strike.
In total, Tesla has 120 mechanics in Sweden.
– They do not have the same conditions as those with collective agreements. They have a lower pension and their conditions are not secured over time, says Caroline Holmstedt, ombudsman at IF Metall in Örebro County.
If no collective agreement is in place when the workshop in Örebro opens at 8 a.m. on Friday, the union will have pickets on site.
