Mecha Break looks like Overwatch with mechs, but uses Escape from Tarkov of all things

The game Mecha Break is all about mechs fighting each other in battles with up to 60 players. The game will be released on Steam soon.

What kind of game is this? The game Mecha Break is a multiplayer shooter in which you control a mech, a large bipedal combat robot, on a battlefield.

Together with other players, the mechs should complement each other and form a team in order to win the battles. There are a variety of different mechs to choose from, which differ in terms of armament, armor and mobility.

The mechs are divided into different classes, which are intended to give the player a general sense of what the class is for. Among other things, there are healers, snipers, defenders, attackers and brawlers. Mecha Break is similar to Overwatch in terms of the team aspect of the shooter.

But in addition to the normal team mode in 3 vs. 3 and 6 vs. 6, there will soon also be a mode with 60 mechs that is reminiscent of, of all things, Escape from Tarkov.

You can see the trailer for Mecha Break here.

New mode brings mechs in an extraction shooter

What is this new mode? In an interview with PCGamer, Amazing Seasun CEO Kris Kwok revealed more about another game mode.

The new 60-player mode is supposed to be a battle royal in which the zone becomes smaller and smaller. But you should also have the option to leave the arena early through exits. Kwok presented the opportunity as a chance for players to get involved in the mode with less pressure and less competition.

In addition to pure PvP, the new mode should also include NPCs and boss fights. What the mode will look like will probably only become clear at the weekend, because that’s when the game’s closed beta will take place.

However, registering for the beta is no longer possible. The game’s release date is also not exactly known. On Steam there is only the note: “Upcoming announcement”.

Mecha Break may be quite unique in what it sets out to do, but we’ve already reported in the past about a game that wants to combine mechs and an extraction shooter: In a new extraction shooter you fight with mechs against mutated creatures and Player – A beta is starting soon
