Southwestern reported 195 boxes of Measles on March 14.
“Cases Are Still Predominantly in People who Are Unvaccinated, and Nearly 72 per cent of our boxes are Those who are 18 and under,” Tran Said. “This outbreak has been a challenging time for our health unit and for those living in the community.”

In An Update Thursday, Public Health Ontario Said 440 Measles Cases have been reported in the province since Jan. 1 AS of Wednesday. The Number of Cases Jumped by 120 from the Last Update on March 14.
“The Sharp Increase in the Number of Outbreak Cases and the Geographic Spread in Recent Weeks is due to continue exhibits and transmission among individuals who have not ben immunized,” The Agency Said.
Most of the boxes have been in infants, children and adolescents, more than 90 per cent of Whom were not immunized, public Health Ontario Says.

Tran’s Measles Update Comes as the Ontario Nurses’ Association, The Union Representing More Than 68,000 Registered Nurses and Health-Care Professionals and 18,000 Nursing Student Affiliates Across the Province, Negotiates A New Contract for Nurses at Southwestern Public Health Who Are Represented.
“In the Midst of Trying to Get A Worsening Measles Outbreak Under Control, Nurses from Southwestern Public Health Are Headed to Conciliation,” A News Release from the Ontario Nurses’ Association (ONA) Stated.
On Wednesday, About 50 Members from the Union and Supporters walked from the Southwestern Public Health Office in Woodstock to City Hall, Ahead of Conciliation Talks Schedoled to Begin on Thursday.
