This device was then generalized during the pandemic and all students could benefit from it. Since last September, this system only concerns scholarship students based on social criteria, and non-scholarship students attesting to serious financial difficulties noted by the social services of the CROUS. An abnormal situation for certain deputies of the PS who have made a bill aimed at ensuring “a meal at 1 euro for all students”. On February 9, 2023, this proposal was rejected at first reading in the National Assembly by one vote.
