Marvel star rules out Indiana Jones role
As Variety reports, Chris Pratt spoke as a guest at the Happy Sad ConfusedPodcast also on the recurring rumor that he is set to follow in Ford’s Indiana Jones footsteps. He can’t imagine it and strongly denies the rumor based on a past statement by Ford:
No, aren’t they doing Indiana Jones with Harrison Ford? All I know is that I once saw Harrison Ford quote and I don’t even know if it really was him, but it was enough to scare me. It was like, ‘If I die, Indiana Jones dies.’ and i think to myself I’ll be haunted by Harrison Ford’s ghost one dayif he dies and I play him…?

The quote Pratt mentioned is actually from Ford himself. In 2019, the star spoke about that for him no other actor for the Indiana Jones role after him would come into question.
Disney, on the other hand, is said to be planning a larger Indiana Jones universe after Part 5. At the beginning of 2021 it became known that the group several spin-off films and series for Disney+ should develop. The expansion of the Star Wars franchise probably serves as a model. As it stands, this universe will have to emerge without Chris Pratt as Indy’s successor.
