    A Colorado man has filed a lawsuit against McDonald’s after he ingested E.coli bacteria from the Quarter Pounder, QP burger, Reuters reports.

    He is now demanding over 50,000 dollars in damages for poor handling of the food, which led to him contracting the serious illness.

    It was two days ago that the American public health agency CDC linked an E.coli outbreak to the fast food chain.

    One person has died and another 50 people have become ill, ten of whom are being treated in hospital.

    According to the US drug authority FDA, the poo bacteria has been found in the onion on the QP burger, which has now been removed from the menu at a fifth of all the country’s restaurants.

    The owner of the container ship that crashed into a bridge in Baltimore, causing it to collapse, has agreed to pay $102 million for damages. This was announced by the US Department of Justice on Thursday.

    The sum, corresponding to almost SEK 1.1 billion, will cover, among other things, the costs of the federal, state and local authorities to remove the 50,000 tons of steel, concrete and asphalt that ended up in the canal after the bridge collapse, reports ABC News.

    It was earlier in March that the ship ran into one of the pillars of the several kilometer long steel bridge. Six construction workers died.

    President Joe Biden is expected to publicly apologize for America’s 150-year oppression of indigenous peoples.

    Indigenous children were forced into boarding schools where the lives of many were destroyed, according to a previous investigation initiated by the US government. Now Biden wants to show federal remorse over the treatment.

    During the day, Biden visits the state of Arizona and an indigenous reservation there. In connection with the visit, Biden is expected to formally apologize on behalf of the federal government for the way indigenous peoples have been treated.

    Never before has an American president issued such an apology.

    – I could never have imagined. . . that something like this would happen, said Deb Haaland, who is Secretary of the Interior and also belongs to the indigenous Pueblo of Laguna (Kawaika), about Biden’s announcement.

    She initiated the investigation that showed widespread physical and psychological abuse of students during the period 1819-1969 when the US federal government operated over 400 boarding schools.

    The investigation shows, among other things, that over 18,000 children have been forced away from their parents into boarding schools. Around 1,000 deaths have been confirmed in connection with the forced displacements and around 70 unmarked graves have been discovered.

    A police bus has collided with a car during an emergency in Huddinge south of Stockholm.

    Two people are said to be slightly injured.

    – It is a person in the police bus and a person from the car who get supervision, says police spokesperson Carina Skagerlind.

    The accident will be investigated.

    – Normally, a report is made to special investigations, but we are in the process of inquiring about what happened.

    During the evening, the prosecutor in Los Angeles will announce whether he recommends a new trial for Erik and Lyle Menendez.
