It was during the Saturday afternoon that a public motorcycle event took place at Malmby airfield outside Strängnäs and many motorcyclists gathered.
– In connection with the event, it is a motorcycle rider who collides with an object at high speed. He dies on the spot, says Marcus Anefur, police spokesperson.
The fatal accident occurred at 4:30 p.m.
The police have started a preliminary investigation regarding causing the death of another, but there is no criminal suspicion against any person. A report of negligence in traffic has also been written.
Relatives have been notified.
