A race against time is underway to help those affected by Cyclone Chido on the island of Mayotte and the Comoros archipelago. The authorities fear a very heavy human toll in this poorest department in France. The weather conditions and the damage caused by a cyclone, of incredible violence, complicate the deployment of relief and the sending of reinforcements is a headache.
