When asked about good advice for the Houten council, the municipal council and the civil service, he indicates that he does not see the point in it. “I think there is one thing I have learned in those past twenty years. Every piece of advice that someone who is leaving gives you,” says Isabella. “Then you just think, thank you, well-intentioned. But I don’t do anything with it at all.” He does have one wish: “And that is, keep looking out for each other, because we are doing very well in Houten. Make sure it stays that way and that those who need support can continue to come along.”
