Looking to the future, Dijksma emphasized that, after the refugees and corona, the city still has other major challenges ahead. “Unfortunately, the difficult circumstances are not over yet. Because we continue to face major challenges: complex puzzles about energy, quality of life, safety – and certainly the impact of climate change,” said the mayor before an audience of key figures from Utrecht society. “I sometimes call it a multi-crisis: that sounds serious – and sometimes it is.”
