The UN Secretary General António Guterres established this advisory group to achieve more effective cooperation between all levels of government. The aim is to achieve the UN objectives, the Sustainable Development Goals. From Europe, in addition to Mayor Dijksma, mayors Anne Hidalgo of Paris and Sadiq Khan of London also participate in the advisory group.
