A CBS report from 2021 shows that 13,900 thousand couples celebrated their 60th (diamond) wedding anniversary in 2020. 327 couples had a platinum anniversary after 70 years of marriage and nearly 56,000 couples achieved golden wedding couple status after 50 years of marriage. The number of ruby or emerald (40 years), silver (25 years) and copper (12.5 years) weddings is actually decreasing. Fewer married and more divorced.
