There are not many pictures of the former assistant nurse Malin Bergfors46. On Instagram today, under the name upcloseandstylish, she has over 1.6 million followers.
Since starting her account, she has posted thousands of photos – all without showing her own face. Instead, it is exclusive designer clothes, expensive jewels and handbags worth several million kroner that fill her feed on Instagram.
There is a reason for all the discretion. Malin Bergfors, born, lived for many years Känsäkang’stogether with her husband Curt Bergfors. He was the man who founded the Max burger chain, and that’s what made him a billionaire.
Before Curt and Malin met in 2000, Curt was first cohabiting with Birgitta Fredriksson. Together they had sons Richard and Christopher which today runs Max.
It was when Richard and Christoffer were small – in 1986 to be precise – that Curt had a diving accident in St Tropez. The accident left Curt paralyzed from the chest down and confined to a wheelchair.
After breaking up with Birgitta, Curt had another son – Wilhelm – with another woman.
Therefore, Malin “upcloseandstylish” Bergfors does not show her face
Back to Malin. In an interview with Expressen, Malin talked about one of the reasons why she does not want to show her face.
– I want to inspire and give ideas. Don’t get famous. The time I spend on the account varies tremendously, but for me, whose biggest interest is fashion after family, I am prepared to spend quite a lot of time on the posts I put up, she told the magazine in 2019.
Curt and Malin met in Miami for the first time, but started dating each other seriously eight months later in Sweden, Malin has told Expressen. The wedding took place in 2007, and together they had a daughter.
Wicked tongues accused Malin of being a “golddigger”, but a person close to Malin and Curt then told The Express:
– They have a genuine love for each other. Malin is absolutely not a happiness seeker, but very humble and a nice person. They have known each other for a long time and are a perfect match, the source told the magazine.
On May 8, 2022, Curt Bergfors died, aged 73.
In the inheritance that was left behind, Malin received a sum of SEK 300 million. In the will he also wrote:
“All my remaining estate – including but not limited to shareholdings in companies other than the Max companies, real estate, homes, furniture, chattels, art and vehicles – shall go with full ownership to my wife”.
Malin Bergfor’s mysterious picture on Instagram
Since Curt fell asleep, Malin has, for completely understandable reasons, not updated at the same rate on her Instagram, and the first picture she posted after her husband’s death showed how she posed with Michael Costewhich is one of the highlights of the French fashion house Hermès.
“When in Paris…”, Malin wrote to the picture that showed her together with Coste during the launch of their perfume Cabriole.
Since then, Malin has not posted anything more on her account, but on Instagram Story she updates from time to time. And the latest picture on Instagram Story reveals that Malin is once again in Paris.
On Instagram Story, she posted a picture that showed the menu from the French luxury restaurant Maxim’s. The legendary restaurant once had three Michelin stars and has been a natural part of Paris nightlife for over 130 years.

New York Times recently wrote about how the Maxim’s restaurant has recently acquired new owners, and with that the place has been given a new boost. According to the New York Times, fashion house Fendi plans to host a party there during fashion week, and last year fashion houses Valentino and Dior hosted private parties at the restaurant.
Malin added a song by the Japanese singer to the black and white picture on the menu Aoi Teshima with the title “C’est si bon”, which translates to “It’s so good”. The song was written in 1947 by Henry Betti with text of André Hornez.
The song has been recorded by, among others Eartha Kitt, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin and Barbara Streisand.
Part of the text goes:
Every word, every sigh, every kiss, dear
Leads to only one thought
And it’s this, dear
Mmm, it’s so good
Nothing else can replace
Just your slyest embrace
And if you only would
Be mine for the rest of my days
I will whisper this phrase
My darling
C’est si bon

She later shared more photos from her trip to Paris, where fashion week has just ended.
Among other things, she visited the Louvre museum, and then posted a picture where she drank a glass of Champagne on the shopping street Avenue Montaigne where, among others, Chanel, Dior and Louis Vuitton have their flagship stores.
