The swarm ofshooting Stars des delta-Aquarides Sud is active from July 12 to August 19. Just like for the other maxima, its name comes from the constellation to which it is close, the constellation of Aquarius, Aquarius in Latin.

The first observations of these shooting stars date back to 1949, by a astronomer named after McKinley. He also discovers a complexity of swarms in this region of the sky. Research was carried out to find out when the first signs of activity of this swarm dated back. A first report was reported in 1007.
