Maximilian Ibrahimovic has played his first minutes in Serie C.
He accounted for an assist when Milan’s U23 team was beaten 1-5 against Torros.
Despite the loss, Zlatan’s son was praised for his effort.
His father is Sweden’s greatest soccer player of all time. Of course it’s not easy Maximilian Ibrahimovic18, to have everyone’s eyes on him just because he is Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s son. But the fact is that “Maxi” has now begun to stand on its own two feet. After his debut in the U18 national team, he has now been given the chance in the club team Milan.
Maximilian Ibrahimovic debuts in Milan
Yes, you read that right. Maximilian also plays in Milan, just like his father did until his retirement almost two years ago. But so far he is not in the first team, but has played in various junior teams until now… Because this weekend he got the chance in the club’s reserve team Milan Futuro, which plays in Serie C, the third league in Italy.

“Maxi” had to jump into the 72nd minute of the match and accounted for an assist immediately. Despite his side losing the match against Torros 1-5 – and Futuro being 18th out of 20 in Serie C’s Group B – Ibrahimovic was praised afterwards. He was one of the few joys in the home team.
– I am happy for Maxi. He played 20 minutes, he worked hard and got an assist, says the coach Daniele Bonera to Milan Reports.
The reactions after Maximilian’s debut
Even on social media, people write that “Maxi” is cruel after his senior debut. Even when it didn’t go as he wanted, he still accounted for a point in his first professional match of his career.
“You just need a chance, player,” commented one person on his Instagram.
“Player,” writes another.
Others send various emojis depicting flames, hearts and happy old men. His little brother Vincent Ibrahimovic have sent two “confetti launchers”.

Maximilian made his debut in the Swedish U18 national team at the beginning of October. There was of course a big uproar when Zlatan’s son was taken out to the training camp in Spain, when he was there to face Japan. However, he was not selected in the subsequent EC qualification for players born in 2006.
Big congratulations to Maximilian! Good job getting you to where you are. Zlatan is of course proud of you. Keep working hard!
