Now the initiative is back – this time in Gothenburg, Linköping and Malmö. On August 19, Climate Live will take place at Malmö Festival, August 26 at Linköping Stadsfest and September 1 at Gothenburg Skalaset.
The first artists are released now and among them are Maxida Märak, Joy, Louise Hoffsten and Isak Danielson.
“As a Sámi, I come from a culture where we never took nature for granted, we are the ones who have to adapt. Not the other way around,” says Maxida Märak, who plays at the concerts in Gothenburg and Malmö, in a press release.
The Climate Live concerts come from the global Fridays for Future movement, which started with Greta Thunberg’s school strike for the climate in 2018. In addition to artists, climate scientists and people from the climate movement will also be seen on the stages.
