The Warner Bros Discovery streaming platform, which will offer all HBO series and Warner productions, has finally been released in France. At what prices should I subscribe and which programs should I watch on Max?
It’s now official, Max is available in France. Two years after its launch in the United States, the French can now subscribe to the platform from this Tuesday, June 11. streaming from Warner Bros. Discovery. And suffice to say that it was an expected event, since the broadcast of HBO programs, which offer some of the most viewed series of the moment, has changed in France in recent years: after OCSit was on Prime Video, by subscribing to the Warner pass, which you had to go to for a year.
The arrival of this new streaming platform therefore allows subscribers to have access to many flagship programs, such as Harry Potter, DC Comics films, but also queen series like Game of Thrones, Succession, The White Lotus, Euphoria And The Last of Us. Season 2 of House of the Dragon will also be available exclusively from June 17, 2024. However, several Max subscription options exist depending on your already acquired offers or your budgets. We detail all the ways to subscribe to Max below.
- Subscribe directly to Max if you have not subscribed to the Warner Pass, or if you are not subscribed to certain Canal+ offers (see below), three subscriptions will be offered to users, the prices of which vary from 5.99 euros per month (with advertisements), 9.99 euros per month for the standard offer (without advertisements with two screens) to 13.99 euros per month for the most advantageous offer (without advertisements, 4 screens). - If you are already subscribed to the Warner Pass on Prime Video : you don’t have to do anything, you have access to the programs available on the streaming platform via Amazon, as was already the case with HBO programs.
- If you are subscribed to certain Canal+ offers you can access the streaming service directly on MyCanal and in the CANAL+ universe of telecom operators’ decoders and CANAL+ decoders at no extra cost and without having to activate anything on your account. Please note, however, that Max content will only be accessible to people who have subscribed to the following subscriptions: Canal+ Ciné Séries, Friends & Family, Intégrale and Rat+Ciné Séries. For other subscribers in the encrypted channel universe (classic Canal+ at 22.99 euros per month (or 13.99 euros per month for those under 26), Canal+ Sport) Max is offered as a paid option.
- Max is also available for subscription directly on Free, Orange and SFR boxes, as well as on several connected televisions and consoles. A sports option can also be subscribed to, for an additional 5.99 euros per month.
The Max streaming platform offers three distinct subscriptions, at different prices and benefits. A sports option will also be possible, and to be added with any basic package. The sports option at 5.99 euros per month will allow you to benefit from sporting event coverage in addition to packages. Among the events that we will find, let us quote the Grand Slam tournaments, the 24 hours of Le Mans, the great cycling tours, the Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 live channels…
In the Max catalog, we will also find all HBO productions, old and future, but also a library of Warner Bros. productions, New Line Cinema, Turner Classic Movies, Adult Swim, Crunchyroll and many others.
