Max Friberg collided with a fellow player and landed on his neck.
He looked groggy but was able to stand up for his own machine and be carried by the ice.
– Terribly boring pictures, says commentator Patrik Westberg in TV4’s broadcast.
It was in the second period that Frölunda’s team captain Max Friberg collided with teammate David Edstrom in the attack zone.
Friberg flew into the air and appeared to land on his neck.
He remained on the ice for a while but was then able to stand up.
Lasu: “Not fun to watch”
He was visibly dazed but was able to slide off the ice under his own power with the help of a couple of teammates while Scandinavium chanted his name.
– He is not usually the one who stays behind, especially not on his back. It was of course sad to see. He gets off on his own and can still move, so that’s a positive. But it’s not fun to watch, says Frölunda’s assistant captain Nicklas Lasu in TV4’s broadcast.
