In Mauritania, in the trial of former president Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, Monday was marked by the return to court of his lawyers. The defense group of the former head of state, tried among other things for illicit enrichment, withdrew from the hearing two weeks ago during the pleading and the court refused their request to call new witnesses in the case. Two new lawyers were then appointed to take over. But the original team eventually returned.
