The changes in jubilant “Idol” follow beat by beat. Recently, it became clear that the jury members Kishti Tomita and Alexander Kronlund are leaving the program and will be replaced by Peg Parnevik and Avicii’s manager Ash Pournouri.
Now TV4 reveals that the broadcast day is also changing, from traditional Fridays to Saturdays.
“We believe that Idol will develop further when the program is now renewed and becomes the autumn’s big Saturday entertainment”, Fredrik Arefalk, channel and content director at TV4 comments on the change in a press release.
During the autumn, the presenter Pär Lernström will also be joined by a new colleague: the presenter and “Best in Test” winner Mauri Hermundsson.
“Working with Pär is a real dream and I think we can complement each other well. Now, in and of itself, Pär is already complete, but I’m living my little dream that I can contribute something,” says Mauri Hermundsson.
