Now Mats Sundin chooses his absolute favorite Swedes in the NHL.

There are few Swedish hockey players who can measure up Mats Sundin’s incredible performances on the ice. He played a full 17 seasons in the NHL and is to this day the Swede who scored the most points ever in the world’s best hockey league.
Sundin’s fine career
As much as 1,349 points came from “Sudden” during the 1,346 games in the NHL and he is also one of the few Swedes to be selected number one in the NHL draft. The Swedish icon will forever be remembered with respect in the Toronto Maple Leafs after his ten years as team captain in the storied club.

But he never got to win the coveted Stanley Cup title. All the more Sundin managed to win with Tre Kronor as he often stood up when the national team called on him.
Blue-yellow dream five
He managed to save an Olympic gold and three World Cup golds in the blue and yellow national team uniform and also a SM gold with Djurgården. Mats Sundin has played with many giants during his career and above all great Swedish legends.
