68-year-old Aziza were many things: sister, aunt, aunt, engineer and teacher in mathematics. When she came to Sweden from Kurdistan in the 1990s, she chose to train as a civil engineer and high school teacher.
“She left Kurdistan because of insecurity to get to the safe country Sweden. She has helped so many people in their lives, to build their careers to move on in working life and support themselves. She saw everyone and made them feel important, ”her seven siblings write in a joint statement to SVT.
For 20 years she worked as a mathematics teacher in Sweden – for the past seven years at Campus Risbergska.
“It did nothing when her workplace moved to Campus Risbergska school. Then she could walk to school every day and get everyday exercise she said. ”
Aziza was the oldest in the siblings, and is described as the one who held the family together.
“She led us throughout our upbringing. It was she who contributed to the family supply and was the cohesive link. She has supported, helped and made difficult and decisive decisions in the family and the family. ”

Aziza was proud to be a teacher. For the summer she would have retired, although she would have liked to continue working according to the siblings.
“She was full of new ideas and lust for life. A person who wants to move forward all the time and never wants to stop learning and developing. ”
In her spare time, too, she devoted herself to teaching mathematics. On Youtube she was a well -known profile, with over 120,000 subscribers who have followed her mathematics lessons in Kurdish.
“Her key words were that man can always change and get better. She believed that knowledge was the key to everything in our lives and our society. ”
“Her love lives on”
Her family is now trying to find comfort that the memory of her will not only live on them, but also with all the students she helped over the years.
“Her commitment and love lives on in the memory of those who were lucky enough to know her,” the siblings write.
