Match start delayed – after pyrotechnics

The start of the match between SSK-Djurgården was delayed.

The first meeting this season between Djurgården and Södertälje in Scaniarinken ended with the entire arena being emptied after pyrotechnic pieces were used.

SSK’s club director, Robert Andersson opened up that this could be the last county derby with away supporters in Scaniarink in an interview with LT.

When the players stepped out for the match, the Djurgårds supporters responded with a pyrotechnic piece and the players left the ice before the start of the match and the message was that the start of the match would be delayed.

The puck could then be released 14 minutes after the intended drop time.

Unlike how similar situations have been handled previously in Scaniarink, the match started with both heels in place and all other spectators in place in the arena.
